You have successfully dismantled a significant barrier and challenged a prevailing belief system that may have hindered your personal growth. Congratulations! Now, time for a victory lap with a to-do list, right? Not quite!
In the journey of personal growth and healing, it's common to encounter moments of significant breakthrough, where long-standing strongholds and limiting belief systems and paradigms that have hindered progress are finally unraveling and becoming dismantled. The instinct to immediately fill this newfound space with activities and goals is a natural reaction, driven by a society that often measures worth by productivity and accomplishments.
Why do we feel like we have to do this and do that, when God may really just want us to sit in this space of healing, and embrace the new and peaceful version of ourselves through just being?
This impulse to create a to-do list can be seen as an attempt to maintain momentum, to capitalize on the progress made. However, this perspective overlooks an essential part of healing and growth: the importance of simply being in the moment and appreciating the tranquility and newfound strength within yourself. Healing is a journey of valleys and mountains, it's not a destination. Healing isn't linear either, you are evolving and shedding parts of yourself every day.
The process of healing is not just about breaking down barriers and moving past obstacles; it's equally about recognizing and sitting with the peace that comes afterward. This period of calm is not a void awaiting new tasks, but a necessary phase for the soul to rest, reflect, and rejoice in its own resilience and renewal. In these moments, God, invites us to pause and just be. This is a time for deepening our understanding of ourselves, for appreciating the journey we've undertaken, and for nurturing the quiet strength that has emerged from our struggles.
Embracing this stillness does not mean becoming complacent. Rather, it's an opportunity to solidify the foundation of healing, to integrate the lessons learned, and to prepare yourself for the future from a place of centeredness and peace. By allowing ourselves the space to just be, we honor our journey, we cultivate a deeper connection with our inner selves, and we align more closely with the divine timing of our lives.
This is not a pause in growth but an essential component of it, where we learn that sometimes the most powerful action we can take is to simply exist in our healing, embracing the peace and newness within us. You've never been at this destination of self before, it's okay to look around a little and take in the view...before you venture off to the next destination.
