I AM: The Most Powerful Words You Can Use

The words "I AM" are two of the most powerful words in the human language, it doesn't matter the dialect or culture whatever you put behind these words, BECOMES YOUR REALITY! Affirmations are powerful because they speak to the present moment and can be used to reprogram the subconscious mind. Your life is a reflection of what you are thinking and holding on to subconsciously. Remember the subconscious mind records and remembers everything that has ever happened to you. It literally obeys the commands from your conscious mind. Your conscious mind can be thought of as the gardener, planting seeds. Your subconscious mind can be thought of as the garden, or fertile soil, in which the seeds germinate and grow. All your habits of thinking and acting are stored in your subconscious mind. It has memorized all your comfort zones and it works to keep you in them. How you show up and the actions you take or do not take or based on how you think on a subconscious level.

That's why reprogramming your subconscious minds takes consistent and repetitive actions. Consciously! In order for you to break past habits and limited beliefs, you have to go through an awkward and uncomfortable period in your life. No matter how poorly you do it or how many times you fail, continue stretching yourself outside of your comfort zones. One of the biggest habits of successful men and women is they are continuously pushing themselves outside of their comfort zones. The reason why most people, never reach their goals is because once they start to feel uncomfortable, or once they fail at something, they simply go back to their old habits, because it's more comfortable and safe there.

So what are Affirmations? They are simply declarations and statements designed to create self change. Affirmations are powerful because they encourage us to believe certain things about ourselves and the world around us. Here are a few affirmations you can speak over your life everyday.

I am healthy I am wealthy I am wise I am brilliant I am magnificent I am genius I am joyful I am strong I am powerful I am tenacious I am successful I am fortunate I am expansion I am rich I am affluent I am abundant I am prosperous I am lively I am energetic I am honorable I am honest I am integrity I am courageous I am daring I am intrepid I am educated I am prudent I am business savvy I am discerning I am cunning I am opulence I am generous I am charitable I am the parent of productive, compassionate and intelligent children I am the parent of respectable, respected critical thinkers I am a PIECE OF THE CREATOR I am a PART OF GOD I am CONNECTED TO THE DIVINE SOURCE I am a CHILD OF THE MOST HIGH GOD

If that doesn't resonate with your spirit and your subconscious reminds you that you are not that which you speak......add I AM IN THE PROCESS of these things...(Now that is the truth) .The point of affirmations is to raise your vibrations because with high frequencies your desires and visions are more likely to manifest opposed to vibrating on low frequencies. You can affirm first thing in the morning, while you sleep at night..throughout the day....but remember with each affirmation you must take action. God always finds a way to meet you where you are, but you have to be willing to move. Faith without works is dead. Remember its not anyone else's job to speak life over you....YOU MUST SPEAK LIFE OVER YOURSELF.

5 Steps to Make Affirmations More Effective and Powerful

Step 1: Make a list of all the negatives thoughts you have about yourself and things you consider negative qualities. This can include criticisms from parents, siblings, peers you heard as a child, or criticisms you've heard from your boss or even the negative talk you speak over yourself. Whether these things are true or not, is not what's important. What's important is that you write them down and acknowledge them.

Step 2: Write an affirmation that reflects the positive aspect of those criticisms or thoughts you wrote down. Remember according to the Law of Polarity, everything is on a continuum and has an opposite. Which means we can suppress and transform undesirable thoughts by concentrating on the opposite pole. It is the law of mental vibrations.

Step 3: Speak these affirmations out loud at least three times EVERYDAY for a minimum of 5 minutes. It's best when you are able to look in the mirror and declare these affirmations out loud. Smile while doing it! You may even sleep while affirmations are playing in your ear at night. Your subconscious is extremely potent while you are resting. This is a great practice I use not only for myself, but for my children as well. You can also write out the affirmations in a notebook to reinforce them.

Step 4: Get a friend or coach to repeat your affirmations back to you. If you are not comfortable with sharing this space with someone, simply use your reflection in the mirror.

Step 5: Act as if you are living in your affirmations. Use you imagination! Feel these affirmations using all of your senses. Become your affirmations!

Affirmations work if you can first identify the belief that is opposing them so Step 1 is very important in this process. If this still doesn't work or change anything for you, I suggest seeking a therapist to help you uncover the deep rooted beliefs that are showing up in your life.

As a coach, I'm passionate about helping you tap into limited beliefs that no longer serve you, keep you stuck and keep you living within your comfort zones. Together, we uncover these beliefs and replace them with new beliefs and habits that serve you and align with who you want to become. With consistency and accountability, you will start to reprogram your subconscious mind.
